For workouts tracked using Garmin

You can earn up to 15,000 AIA Vitality Points for all fitness-related activities (including gym workouts, fitness device tracking and organised fitness events). Once you have linked your device to AIA Vitality, points take up to 2 weeks to show on your AIA Vitality Points Statement.

The table below shows the number of points you earn when you track your exercise at the required heart rate with a Garmin. If your heart rate data are not available, we will award you points based on how much energy you use when you exercise, i.e. your calorie information, or on the average speed of your exercise.

You may earn points if we have suggested a personal Health Goal within this range.

A maximum of 100 points will be awarded for one download a day. If you complete two fitness activities in 1 day, then the higher points between the two will be awarded.

Example: Jane buys a fitness device that can be linked to AIA Vitality. Jane takes part in a minimum of 30 minutes of physical activity in one exercise session. She exercises at an average heart rate of more than 60% of her age-related maximum heart rate, burns a minimum of 150 calories (at a rate of no fewer than 300 calories an hour) and takes more than 12,500 steps. She uploads her exercise data to AIA Vitality.

In this case, Jane will earn 100 points for taking more than 12,500 steps, which is the activity that earns the highest allocation of points.
