What You Need to Know

You’ll earn AIA Vitality Points in the fitness category if you exercise at a specific intensity, for a specific time.

Earn up to 100 AIA Vitality Points each day

For workouts tracked using selected Polar devices

You can earn up to 15,000 AIA Vitality Points for all fitness-related activities (including gym workouts, fitness device tracking and organised fitness events). Once you have linked your device to AIA Vitality, points can take up to 2 weeks to be updated in your AIA Vitality Points Statement.

The table below shows the number of points you earn when you exercise at the required heart rate with Polar. If your heart rate data is not available, we will award you points based on the number of steps you take each day, or your calories during exercise.

At least 30 minutes of physical activity in one exercise session a day at an average heart rate of more than 60% of your age-related maximum heart rate.

You may earn points if we have suggested a personal Health Goal within this range.

A maximum of 100 points will be awarded for one download a day. If you complete two fitness activities in 1 day, then the higher points between the two will be awarded.

Example: Jane buys a fitness device that can be linked to AIA Vitality. Her device collects step, heart rate and calorie data. Jane takes part in a minimum of 30 minutes of physical activity in one exercise session. She exercises at an average heart rate of more than 60% of her age-related maximum heart rate, burns a minimum of 150 calories (at a rate of no fewer than 300 calories an hour) and takes 7,500 steps. She uploads her exercise data to AIA Vitality. This event qualifies for 50 points.

On the same day Jane also completed a marathon and submitted the information of this organized fitness event to Vitality, This event qualifies for 1,500 points.

Jane will earn 1,500 points for the day for the marathon i.e. the higher of the 2 above events.
